The Genesis of Scuba Journals

Two divers, one shared path.

Scuba Journals began not with a business plan, but with a shared commitment to mentorship. Our journey started in the classroom, where Wajid—then an IDC Staff Instructor—guided Janhavi as a newly certified instructor. That initial mentorship grew into a professional alliance, and eventually, a partnership built on shared ambition. We navigated the rigorous CDTC process together, leveling up side-by-side until we achieved our goal of becoming PADI Course Directors.

What started as a mentor-student bond became something larger: a conviction that the industry needed a more personalized approach to professional development. We built Scuba Journals to bridge the gap between being a diver and becoming an industry leader, providing the mentorship and business expertise we always wished we had. Today, we work as a team—conducting IDCs and empowering the next generation to turn their passion into a lifelong career.

We are still, at heart, two divers with a journal and an ocean to explore.
